In collaboration with Lipi Inc., we present an exciting upgrade to BalaRanjani. A new Telugu learning App, “Lipi Kids” that blends education with entertainment – through games, stories, poems, videos and interactive activities that bring language to life.

Flexible Learning for Kids

Parents and teachers can access transliteration and guided support, making it easy to teach and reinforce new words at home or in the classroom. This App complements the structured learning offered in SiliconAndhra ManaBadi classes and helps students retain and expand their Telugu skills.
Subscription & Access
- Current Year 2025-26: Optional at $30/year per install.
- Next Year 2026-27: Mandatory for all students. It will be used for homework & grading.
- Personalized Access: Each student requires a unique subscription tied to their ManaBadi ID. Siblings and teachers must use individual student IDs to ensure accurate progress tracking.

What is the Balaranjani App?
It is a playful app designed to supplement classroom instruction for students of SiliconAndhra ManaBadi. Using gaming activities, kids build vocabulary, reading and speaking confidence while teachers and parents track progress with simple reports and personalized learning paths. Fun rewards and daily challenges keep learners motivated and ready for the next class.
Why can’t I find “BalaRanjani” app on Apple app store and the Google play store?
BalaRanjani is ManaBadi’s mobile learning enhancement platform. The app is listed as LipiKids on the Apple app store and the Google play store.
Is enrollment in ManaBadi required to use the app?
The app is available to the general public. However, users logging in with a ManaBadi Google account will have access to specific ManaBadi curated content that is aligned with ManaBadi grade-level curriculum.
Can BalaRanjani be accessed by individuals who are not ManaBadi students?
The app is available to the general public. It is rated for everyone (4+ on the Apple App Store) and is open to anyone wanting to learn Telugu. When installed and used by individuals who are not ManaBadi students, the content they see (Learn, Games, stories etc.) will be generic, unrelated to ManaBadi curriculum or grade levels.
Can multiple children use the same device?
YES, the app allows users to log out and log in to switch between different profiles on a single device.

How does Balaranjani help in simplification of Homework submission and evaluation for students and parents?
Beginning in the academic year 2026-2027, BalaRanjani will be the only mode of Homework submission for ManaBadi students (excluding BalaBadi-1 and BalaBadi-2, who don’t have any Homework). So, all ManaBadi stakeholders should reinforce the benefits of using BalaRanjani only for Homework submission.
This is the most effective way to manage Homework in the ManaBadi curriculum, because:
- It is easy for students to submit, since it is digital, intuitive and accessible.
- It is fun for students to work and submit their homework because it is gamefied.
- It removes the burden of homework submission from parents, because students do it on their own because of the above reasons!
- It empowers Teachers to get a better understanding of the students’ learning progress and skill gaps, based on their performance in the app, and their progress metrics and trends over time

What is the cost of the app?
In India it is ₹499/year. Canada & Rest of World: $30 USD/year.
How do I pay the fee?
Currently, users need to pay for the subscription fees using the in-app subscription payment. For students of SiliconAndhra ManaBadi, from the next major release of the App (tentatively April, 2026), the subscription fees will be collected as part of the ManaBadi student registration fee.
I have two children currently registered in ManaBadi. Can I use a single account for both my children?
Since ManaBadi will be used for Homework submission and other academic and extra-curricular evaluation, each student needs to access and interact in the app with their own, unique user ID. So, each student needs a separate BalaRanjani account, through their ManaBadi ID.

Do I get free access to the app?
YES, Teachers and Coordinators will have access to the app for FREE, as long as they login with their SiliconAndhra ManaBadi user ID; that is, your ManaBadi email ID).
Is there specific training available?
Training and Prasikshana for coordinators and teachers will be provided as part of their ManaBadi Onboarding Process. Details will be available soon.
Why should Teachers use BalaRanjani?
Beginning in the academic year 2026-2027, BalaRanjani will be the primary mode of training and certification for ManaBadi Teachers. This includes:
- One-time initial onboarding training
- Mandatory training and certification required for their assignment to their specific grade levels.
- Training in Technology tools needed to perform their routine tasks in the ManaBadi Online Portal and beyond
- Optional training for skills development and knowledge-advancement
How does Balaranjani help in simplification of Homework submission and evaluation for teachers?
