Balamitra is a magical, interactive initiative by SiliconAndhra ManaBadi, designed to bring joy, imagination, and Telugu language immersion to our young learners in a playful and engaging format. It is not just a program—it is a delightful experience where children laugh, learn, and explore through songs, stories, games, magic, and more. Hosted by the award-winning magician and beloved children’s author, Chokkapu Venkata Ramana Mamayya, also known as Magic Chaplin, Balamitra is where fantasy meets learning. With ZOOM as his stage and hundreds of Telugu children as his audience, Mamayya garu creates an enchanting world where every session becomes a cherished memory.

• To ignite curiosity and imagination in children while nurturing a deep-rooted love for the Telugu language and culture.

• To create an informal and joyful learning space where children engage through storytelling, music, puppetry, magic, and creative games.

• To boost listening and comprehension skills in Telugu through fun, interactive sessions.

• To encourage children to ask questions, think creatively, and express themselves confidently in their mother tongue.

• To offer a shared experience for families, especially grandparents, who witness their little ones growing and glowing through language and laughter.

• Balamitra will run every Wednesday and Saturday at 5:30 PM (PST) starting January 15, 2025, via Zoom.

• Sessions are open to all ManaBadi students, and participation is highly encouraged.

• Children are not just viewers—they’re active participants, invited to sing, dance, ask questions, solve riddles, and share their own fun moments during the sessions.

• Every session will be centered around a specific theme, integrating Telugu words, culture, and values in entertaining formats such as magic tricks, funny skits, rhymes, and folk tales.

• Families are encouraged to tune in together and make Balamitra part of their weekly routine for shared cultural bonding and joy.
